Rapid Crete Cement Additive Products
Concrete Glue
Bonds new concrete to old or could be used as a fortifier to a cement-based mixture . This low VOC bonding agent can be used with most masonry or cement-based applications. Can be used on concrete, cinder block, stone, or any cement-based surface. Can be used to bond existing concrete, mortar, or stucco to a new application coat.
For best results clean the existing surface to remove all debris. Lightly rinse with water and dry. Apply bonding agent with a brush or roller. It goes on white, when it is tacky the color will change to clear, then apply new concrete, mortar, or stucco.
Product could be thinned with water to make application easier. Coverage is approximately 60 to 75 square feet per gallon.
Asphalt Glue
Asphalt glue improves the bonding strength of new asphalt to old. For use in patching, repairing or for temporary applications like road construction or drive over plate transition. This liquid bonder will help the new asphalt patch adhere to the older surface.
Simply brush or roll on the asphalt glue to a cleaned and prepared existing surface. Allow to tack and apply new asphalt patch material. Asphalt glue covers approx. 40-50 sqft per gallon.
Calcium Chloride
Need your cement set time accelerated? Calcium chloride is a clear liquid additive that serves as a cement accelerator. The clear color is ideal for use in white cement-based mixes like pool or spa construction or for precast. It expedites cement set time, streamlining pool construction.
Calcium chloride will increase the early strength of your mix, increase set time, and improve efficiency on the jobsite. Due to its corrosive nature, calcium chloride should be avoided in projects involving reinforced concrete.
Calcium Chloride can be added to your cement-based mix at a ratio of 2% maximum calcium to the amount of cement in your mix.
Cement Accelerator
This economical accelerator speeds up the set time of almost any kind of cement-based mix. This powder formula can be added to any kind of concrete, mortar, stucco, or other cement product. The dark gray / brown color of the accelerator does not make it suitable for use with white cement or products with color or pigment in them.
This powder is mixed into your product when blending. Cement accelerator adds early strength gain to your product and can lead to quicker form / mold release times and overall makes your project go faster. Mix approximately 1.5 Lbs. of accelerator per 90 lb. Bag of concrete mix.
Acrylic Additive
This liquid additive makes your project stronger. Used as a replacement for water when mixing, this acrylic additive improves adhesion and bond strength to smooth surfaces. Improves freeze/thaw resistance. Improves plasticity (workability) of mortar. Increases mortar internal bond and flexural strength.
Simply add at the time of mixing to you concrete, mortar, setting material, stucco, or grout to add strength and crack resistance. Can be diluted with water in a 1 to 1 ratio. Meets requirements for ANSI 118.4.
